VC Events has accepted the bid from BAR to host the IOMICA World Championships 2009.
Both BAR and ESP bids satisfied the criteria for an excellent World Championships. The majority of the Exec favoured BAR. We now look forward to working closely with BAR towards a successful World Championships.

After stage 1 allocations for the 2008 IOM European Championships there are still a few places left.
All NCAs with skippers wanting to compete in Dubrovnik should send in their entries to the organizers before August 8th 2008.

The Class Championship Regulations have been updated with the changes agreed upon at the 2007 AGM.
The IOMICA events sub-committee has not received any other bids for the Euro-’08 event and is satisfied that the experienced Croatian team will host an excellent event.
The planned event dates are October 20th – 27th, 2008. An event website with more detailed information will be set up shortly.
The events sub-committee is working on a new version of the Class Championship Regulations which will incorporate changes agreed upon at the 2007 IOMICA AGM (this affects allocation of places for non-European NCAs and guest places allocated by the events sub-committee).
Croatia has applied to host the 2008 IOM European Championships in Dubrovnik, Croatia during October 20th – 27th 2008.
