Re: Checkstay - lower shroud

A mast strut has fallen out of fashion since the raised foredeck and the advent of the mast ram. On a flat deck and deck stepped mast, a mast strut was used to brace the lower section of the mast to resist the forces of the goose neck (same function as a ram). The check stays are an alternative to ...

Re: Checkstay - lower shroud

The class rule over-rides the ERS. The height of the attachment on the mast, above the mast heel is no more than 100mm, regardless of the position of the lower limit mark. The class rules allow only one pair of shrouds. John ------------------------------------------------------ Hi John F.3.3 FITTI...

I would know a reference distance between marks in the races (triangular and trapezoidal) or a medium time to do the races.

Someone can help me?

Re: Water Free Measurement of IOM

Well, my friend Ademir Nicaretta, a jurassic lover of IOM, 30 years experience in naval modeling, living in Brasilia, do a IOM Hull Depth gauge v.3R and he put my IOM there. He say me: "Your IOM dont have depth!". I smile and went to see what he is doing, and I see really that by the gauge my depth ...

About the Transverse gauge v5. The lines of a IOM is Absolutely free unless a few dimensions to define a lenght, weight and depth, this is the appeal. Freedom. Unhappy when we have a gauge with certain measures naturally there will be a race to explore this. Notwithstanding you say that these measur...

Seeing the IOM Hull Depth gauge v.3R I understand that a boat whith DWL 1.00 m can have a depth more than 60 mm. You d'ont see this in the figure? If I put a hull with 1.00 m DWL in the gauge the botton of the boat stop in the stern and bow support before the real DWL is in. I see this. I must be wr...

I have some conclusions about the LiFePO4. Today I receive a e-mail from Bruce Simpson (RCModelreviews.com) about the supply of 6.7V or a bit more to servos Hitec. He says that he used 2 LiFePO4 cells in a range of Hitec servos since HS425BB through to the HS5955TG without any problem. With JR servo...

Hi Rob, I agree, but my charger can charge and balance Lixx batteries (and others). Really, was my first time to use the charger, and happened this problem. About the battery identification problem by charger, caused by low voltage (2.3V), my friend Claudio Pelarin say me to charge the battery as NiCd until reach 5.0V (controlling battery temperature) and after, change to normal charge process like Life. Hi Rob, well, I will use A 3003 Futaba for rudder and a 5745MG Hitec for sails on my first IOM that I am making, boths specifications give a range 4.8V ~ 6.0V to then. But, may be that this voltage are assotiated with 1.2V cells. What is the ultimate voltage that they can be submitted? My charger ha...
