Thanks Nigel Yes it seems a very simple question but the problems I have uncounted have lead me to ask this simple question. One of the problems I have had is fraying and eventual breakages. What cord for sheeting and sail adjustment lines

Hi

What are the recommendations for what cord to use on an IOM for the winch and sheeting please?

And as I need to change my A rig what cord is idea for attaching the sails to the mast and booms where adjustment is needed?

any help would be helpful.

Can any one in the UK suggest where I can obtain battery bars, shrink wrap and reasonably priced AA and AAA Nimh rechargeable cells so I can make my own packs please?

Hi

The MYA is not wanting to over-ride any class rules but only wants to restrict the use of telemetry to battery condition in Uk events until this new advance in control technology has been debated and regulations put in place for its use (or not use).

On the subject of telemetry, the MYA has added the following to the current MYA SSIs issued 1 Feb 2012: 2.13. Except for radio link information & monotoring of onboard battery condition no radio transmission from the boat shall be received by the competitor. This should help stop any form of other i...
