Hi Richard, I have read your NCA statement and understand the time constraints only too well. But can we get some perspective? I know we did not initially give NCA’s much time (that word again) to ballot their members but you guys managed it in 17 days. On reading your post you were happy to conta...

Thanks Richard, It was your joke that made us aware of previous "sea lawyers" at WC's from the forum you will see there is a divided opinion. or VC T is of the opinion that they are legal. The RSD Technical thinks it may be challanged. Val has suggested we simply rely on the wording. At the end of t...

yes I agree but given the wish by one of our NCA that the issue should blow up at the WC then it is proper for us to do what we can to prevent that sort of thing and although I agree with where this is going there is some indication that it may not be consistant with other technical views so you wil...

Members, it seems the majority of the executive think it better to wear a little pain and adjust the agenda and split the proposal under discussion. Yep I think your onto something. As I understand it the rules re Radio equipment are intended to allow the control of 2 functions. per C.5.3 and then to make sure there is no positioning information transmitted from the boat. Does a 2.4 gig transmit ? If not what does it matter if the boat has 2 or ...

Under HMS 2007
2.2 Time Out Limit
As an exception to the Sailing Instructions, for Race 1 only there shall be no Time Out Limit. All boats
shall be allowed to finish, provided that they had started before the leading boat in their heat had
finished in accordance with RRS 28.1.

I'm not sure I agree. A good administartor does not always need to compete but I guess they always have the option to decline. If this was thought to be a reward for the time and effert by the chairman then it MUST be extended to all Executive. They all play a hugh part in keeping this class competi...

yep, I agree this is a solution to get the weights off the outside of the mast but at the end of the day will disadvantage the boat with the weight further up the mast. purley a asthetic issue. how important is it? I guess we let the members decide.
