Re: Another query

Hi Don

Your question may well lead to more clear ISAF rules and in turn to easier to understand IOM class rules. Absolutely no reason for you to say "sorry"!

Re: Another query

Hi Bruce I think the IOM class rules are ok as they are and that an IOMICA request is not needed, but Don Case raised an issue that could help to improve on the ISAF Standard Class Rules and the ISAF Equipment Rules of Sailing. An issue that I, as chairman of the ISAF ERS Working Party, intend to di...

Re: Another query

Hi Don A few comments: Class rule C.7.5: " Boom spar curvature measured between points on the top of the spar 10 mm from each end ..." Class rule A.5.2: "... when a term is printed in “ bold ” the definition in the ERS applies." So there is a sort of a "search engine" built into the class rules. ERS...

Hi Tzvetan, The latest version I have of the Naviga Racing Rules are in German and from 2002. Having read your message I searched the Internet but did not find any Naviga Racing Rules at all. I can send you the 2002 rules if you send me a PM (search for my user name and click the "PM" button under "...

English is not my native language, but for what it is worth I read Henry Thorpe's text in the same way as Barry Fox seems to do.

Sixth, and finally, I'm also not exactly sure what you are saying about RSD. I have always argued that while RSD does not currently have properly elected officers, RSD's agreement with IOMICA is still valid. Roy So does this then mean that when IOMICA joins ISAF it only needs to comply with those regulations that suits it? Fact is R/C sailing is different from other forms of sailing. And so are all other special disciplines of sailing and this is reflected by the RRS Appendices of which Appendix E is one.
