I shot about 20 minutes of tape at the USA season opener, mostly starts and mark roundings that I could send out to you, if I can figure out how to do it!

The Marblehead class (prior to the appearance of the Skapels) transmogrified into this type of class, with top skippers coming to races with a 'quiver' of rigs and keel/bulb combos. Makes travel harder and staying competitive much more complicated and expensive. I would support some sort of limitati...

I've been using 0.025 inch SS solid wire for rigging for a number of years without any interference. I run the antenna through a plastic tube to keep it straight and either glue the tube to the underside of the deck or simply let it rest in the bilge.

you might try Mike Eldred - his carbon work is superb and his fins are fast.

Sorry Marko, I drove my stuff up to Vancouver last year - did not want the hassle of shipping through customs - I think Roy had some problems in that regard.

You might want to ship your stuff to one of the guys in the Northeast US that plan to drive up to the great white north.

Avoid the hassle by planning ahead a bit and ship it! I can send a boat box, rig box, and transmitter case cross country with Fed Ex Ground for about $60. It takes about 5 days from Boise to Miami. The last time I brought my stuff with me on a plane (2 years ago), the checkers actually made me put t...

I have gotten away from using the arrow shafts for jib booms after breaking 3 or 4. The Sails Etc. aluminum extrusions are much stronger (even after multiple holes are drilled in it for fittings etc.) and not much heavier.

Look at some of the new digital servos from JR. They are smaller, lighter, and have more torque than most standard size analog models. A bit expensive but if you must lose that weight.....

Cockatoo & TS2. Perhaps if I epoxy the gooseneck fitting onto the mast, I can machine an internal fitting.

Sorry, I guess I need to clarify my question a bit: I have both deck and keel stepped IOM's and would like to minimize the number of rigs I have to maintain. Initially I was going to make a mast like extension that simply "plugged into" the bottom of the deck stepped rigs, but the fasteners from the...

converting deck stepped masts to keel stepped masts

Has anyone come up with a slick method of converting deck stepped rigs to keel stepped rigs. I 2 boats, one of each type, and want to consolidate the number of rigs I have.
