I am definately on the other side of the fence here. Once a boat is measured and certificated, it is the responsibility of the owner to keep it in compliance with the rule. The owner is allowed to do maintenance on his boat. Let's not bog down the system with unwarranted measurements and certificat...

there is nothing in the class rule that talks about an added 2 or 3 in front of the number, just a "1". Hello Anders, Yes there is : In appendix E : [...]A single-digit number shall be prefixed with a ‘0’. There shall be space in front of a sail number for the prefix ‘1’, which may be requi...

Hi Andy,

Thanks, I know this one.

The issue is how to decide who is first? Entries come in may be a solution...but entries are sent by NCA, not by competitors...

Sail number in a world Championship

Hello, is there a rule to decide which sailor will have to get a 1, or a 2, or a 3 in his sails in front of his 2 usual numbers?

Thanks Anders, but that's YCPR's job, not mine...

For an extra place for France, it depends on RSA and NZL, as it seems that USA claims only for 1 extra place.

May those countries answer?

French IOM Championship results

66 boats were qualified for 2007 French IOM Championships, held in Autun, a charming city of Burgundy. HMS WC 2007 with 6 up and down was used to prepare the Worlds in Marseille, so 5 heats starting from Race 3. We had observers and umpires, some of them will be at the Worlds. This was the last even...

Time Limit with HMS

Question about HMS and time limit after race 1: On 20 boats, with 6 up and 6 down, only 1 boat in time limit. Who is promoted? Just the 1 st one, or also 5 more by increasing time limit? Who gets in the lower heat for next race? Do we have to wait until there is only 6 boats on the water? I'd like t...

You can also buy an alloy arrowshaft for less than $10. And the rules say yes

Hello,

I'd like to know what do you use to travel by plane with your boat?

What do you think of plywood to make such a box?

Thanks

6 => 76 boats, and 2 preliminary races
5=> 80 boats and only one preliminary race
4=> 84 boats and one also...

I think it's better to get an event with more boats, and more "real" racing, not seeding races...

So 4 or 5.

Best Regards

It seems difficult to get a solution with 6 boats promoted...as HMS 2007 still not validated...

A proposal from France :
80 boats, 5 promoted

- race 1 : 16, 16, 16, 16, 16
- race 2 : 15, 15, 15, 15, 20
- race 3 : 15, 15, 15, 15, 20
....

Opinions?

Very true Steve This could be covered by something like the following. If a boat is promoted from a lower heat and does not finish its next heat, it should be awarded the position from the lower heat finish. In other words, he gets awarded his best finish. This idea is interesting, even if it compl...

To reduce cost, we launch in France a subclass called "Echo" like cheap and hoping to make noise around IOM. Limitations are : 3 possible hulls, 2 easy to build and the windstar for people that wan't to buy, no carbon allowed in fin and rudder, thickness of fin and rudder limited, mast diameter abov...
