help with whirlwind winch

Post by Gilbert Louis » 16 Feb 2008, 18:39

Hiya, in the process of re-fitting an IOM so it can sail again. with it came a whirlwind winch, I tried to connect it to the rx on the second port and I got a glitch but nothing more, tried port 3 and nothing. Also tried with another rx and same...

I'm not familiar with this winch - anyone could guide me on how it should be connected ?

for now I have the battery pack connected to a switch connected to the B port of the rx, I have the rudder servo connected to port 1 and works fine.

not sure if the winch had it or it's a wiring issue...

Anyone know what I can do to see if the winch had it ?

Cheers

Gilbert - Does the winch have 2 leads, one for the RX and one with a molex plug for a battery? (probably not but I thought I would ask as all my old Whirlwind winches came with this 2 lead wiring layout)
Ex Widget owner - now regretting it...
