Recommendation for radio with exponentials

Post by cfwahl » 29 Jan 2005, 19:11

I'm all set (trusty old Futaba FP-7UGFS), but there's a sailing compadre here who would like to upgrade to a radio that has servo reversing, adjustable travel volume, AND exponential programming for BOTH throttle (sail) and aileron (rudder) channels, on a two-stick transmitter. And of course, available on ground frequency (75 mHz in the US).

I'm too lazy to start all that research. Does anyone have reasonably-priced stuff that does that? Doesn't have to be in production; there's always eBay!

Thanks,
Charles Wahl

The Hitec Optic 6 seems to be a reasonably priced computer radio.
It can work with an FM or PCM RF-module. Hitec also has a programmable frequency PCM module (no xtal in the tx needed)

A while ago people thought it would also work with the first generation of new exciting modules from spektrumrc but now it seems that it won't...
