Diagrams/photos of different running rigging options?

Post by Dave Pickett » 10 Nov 2010, 18:26

My kit is on order and I am comfortable with most aspects of the build. The remaining gap in my knowledge is the best way to use a rotary winch to control the sails. The kit instructions are very vague on this, pretty much saying "use your favorite method" not helpful on your first build!

Can anyone point to a scematic(or even take photos of their set up) that I can copy? I am also interested in how to easily connect and disconnect the sheets in order to change rigs or transport the boat............

Hi Dave

I always suggest a visit to your local pond when they are sailing -- see what's used, ask why (smile)...

I have some pages dealing with drum and arm winches linked off this page under 'R/C':
