2025 IOM ICA AGM – Updated Schedule & Clarifications (Elections, IRSA Input, Resolutions)

Dear IOM ICA Representative,

This message serves as an updated preview of the agenda and important deadlines leading to the 2025 IOM ICA Annual General Meeting, scheduled for December 3rd, 2025.

In order to help you submit all proposals, nominations, and resolutions on time, please review the key dates and clarifications below. This updated information will also be published on the IOMICA website by our Vice President of Communications.

πŸ—“ AGM Timeline & Deadlines:

πŸ”Ή September 24th, 2025 – 10 Weeks Before AGM

  • All resolutions for the AGM must be submitted in writing to the IOM ICA Secretary by this date.

  • As 2025 is an election year, all nominations for Executive Committee positions must also be received on or before September 24th.

  • Early submissions are encouraged where possible.

IRSA Involvement Clarification:
We are currently finalizing a new Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with IRSA. Under this new MoU, IRSA will only provide comments on resolutions dealing with technical matters, such as Class Rule Amendments.
Resolutions related to IOM ICA Constitution, Regulations, Executive nominations, and similar administrative topics do not require IRSA input. This MoU is pending approval by both parties.

πŸ”Ή October 8th, 2025 – 8 Weeks Before AGM

  • Formal notice of the AGM and proposed resolutions will be distributed to all World Council members by the IOM ICA Secretary.

  • The Agenda and all received Resolutions will be included.

  • Reminder: 2025 is an election year.

πŸ”Ή November 5th, 2025 – 4 Weeks Before AGM

  • Each Member NCA or NCS must submit their Annual Membership Report, declaring:

    • Registered Owners and Boats

    • Certificated Owners and Boats

    • Names and sail numbers

    This report is mandatory to maintain voting rights and good standing.

  • This is also the closing date for IRSA comments on any eligible resolutions (per new MoU).

πŸ”Ή December 3rd, 2025 – AGM Day

  • The meeting will be held virtually.

  • The main agenda includes:

    • Tallying submitted votes

    • Election results

    • End-of-year financial reports
