It is very seldom that big organisations and specially organisations with members across the borders has a voting process that gives votes on a one to one basis. how we are oganized is common for many organisations. It is good reasons for why some NCA has higher participation than others. The bigger...

I have been following this discussion with great interest. As many previous discussions this has been a playground for the native english speaking, with some few exceptions. Those exceptions is trying to clear up the mess the english speaking are making, discussing nitty gritty details in som paragr...

Here is how the situation looks like in Norway. We have approximately 130 boats, wheras 29 is certificated. We have races approximately every second week in 5 places along the coastline. Norsk Modellseilforening which dates bact to 1904 is currently DM and have been DM since the 1920 when the intern...

As many times before great effort is put into discussing themes of no significance. Bear in mind that the ground rule, if it isn't specificcally allowed it is prohibited. Batteries, corrector weights or other "loose"equipment are not ment to be shifted around, and therefore you are not allowed to ch...

With previous discussions in mind I would not use CF battens. I have a feeling it would open yet another can of worms. There is no reasons to use CF battens in an IOM sail other than it looks nice and seems to be "high tech" The only place one can justify using CF is in the keel and here it is legal...

I kind of agree with Roy in this matter, 25, 50 75 and so forth are the celebration dates, I have a feeling that 21 is connectet to US. We in Norway don't have any celebration at 21. BUT I am in favor of a common day all over the world to put up a celebration race when the class is 25. We can put up...

If we can agree upon a date we could promote that event. In Norway we have a race 21 of june, the same time as the racing in the WC starts, I know that in Spain they are going to have their regional Catalonian championship. Wouldnt it be great if we could have a race all over the world at the same t...

One can question what is fair. If one can not se your boat and obstruct another, not willingly, but by accident, shall the boat that was obstructed suffer due to the other skipper did not see his boat?? Approaching a mark far away, a lot of boats are about to round. One are bound to loose sight of y...

There are some issues which was made clear to me during a discussion in Norway, and which also Steve Landeau pointed out. The lower heat guy working his way through the heats finishes in fact every heat he is promoted from so the idea to give him scores for the best placing is fair and logic, but as...

Well its still the same race he don't finish. Yes I admit that he has had 4 good races, but he must have had some poor races before that starting in the E heat. After going in the system i detail there are som minor things that I feel isnt so logical, that is whenone have a DNF, OSC and so on. Since all hea...

Now we are talking. Regarding the legal stuff I will not go into that. I think that Lester has a much better overview of that then me. I have read the draft of the phigit, yes it simpifies some matters, but the clear references ti yhe IOM rules removes a lot of the complexity from the phigit rules. ...

Of course the rules are simpler if the the idea is to use an IOM rig, only one line in the rules are necessary: Rigs to be IOM rigs. And then leave the IOM class to define the rules. I haven't been able to find any class rules. I think it was in the MM article I saw the depth gauge as in Marblehead,...
