While the language in this thread is not allways good promotion to our sport the actuall content seems controverse. It seems as if everybody is now fine, that as long as the same ply (thickness, material, etc) is used for the body of a sail, the panels can actually be of different colour. No...

Gentlemen, for anybody reading this thread it is very clear that IOM ICA and ISAF RSD are in limbo regarding the pending IOM CR rules changes and currently the blame for this is going around the houses. :? Antonio, 10mm masts are not class legal.

The ESP attempt to change the class rules to reduce the min. mast diameter did not receive the necessary number of votes >66%.

The battery is not remote control equipment.

It is related equipment (i.e no battery = no radio :D ) which is also defined under rule C 5.3 (d) and therefor may not be moved around the boat to change trim.

If you have evidence of skippers doing this during a race you have a valid protest.

In order to find a World or Continental Champion I yould think a minimum of 3 or 4 days is requiered just to remove the element of luck and yome out with the best skippers on top. I see no problem. The class rules do not limit the materials for the fittings.

To expand on this a little. For example, the NoR for the forthcoming Marblehead Worlds does not invoke G3.
