Corrector Weights
My concern with having corrector weights other than permanently fixed is that if they can be readily removed, ie velcro, they could be removed, forgotten and not replaced before an event or alternatively, contrary to the rules, moved during an event. My contention is that if the weight and position ...

Corrector weights
As a IOM measurer I insist that corrector weights if required be securely affixed to the hull and by that I mean securely and not wedged under a servo or attached by other means such as velcro. I recommend a dab of silicon which will permit removal (with a bit of difficulty) if required at a later s...

2004 Europeans
My understanding is that entries from non European DM's has, in the past been restricted. What is the IOM-ICA's policy in this regard please?
There are a number of AUS skippers wishing to compete but they would need to know fairly soon as to the prospects of getting a spot.

Calculating ranking, like the atp tennis tour...?
Hi Fredrik
ARYA's (Australia) Ranking Regulations may be a help. They were based on the MYA (UK) regulations and have been successfully used for the last two years.
You can find them at http://www.radiosailing.org.au/ranking.htm

Race Course Design
When developing its own Championship Regulations, IOM-ICA should specify the type of course to be sailed as this will have some bearing on site approvals. Not all sites can accommodate a windward/leeward course and not all countries have embraced the windward/leeward concept. Quad Park is suitable f...

2005 World Championships Venue
Hi Dick A short answer to your question is that there is no likelyhood of buildings having any influence on the conditions at the proposed Australian venue. Australia has provided answers to supplementary questions posed by the Events Committee to that committee's satisfaction. The two bids are curr...
