Sailbag for IOM rigs

Post by Gilbert Louis » 16 Jul 2006, 22:31

Hi, I'm looking for a sailbag for my IOM rigs. Ideally 4 pockets as I have 4 rigs but I know most have only 3 so I'll settle for 3 pockets if can't find one with 4. I have seen before few done in kevlar similar material. Not interested in plastic.

Anyone know where I can get one ?

Thx all,
Gilbert

Gilbert;

Check with Esther Romero at www.sailcases.com

She will custom make anything you want. She donated a IOM sailbag for our 2004 US Nationals. Quality is excellent and prices aren't bad.

Good Luck,

sailbags

Sailbags are real easy to make. Just take 5 layers of cotton material * from your local store and sew together a 4 pocket sail. Want to get a bit fancier, put some bias ply tape around the edges. If this is a bit too flimsy after you are finished, put a piece of cardboard in one of the slots along with the sail.

Piece of cake.
