Hello,

I'd like to know what do you use to travel by plane with your boat?

What do you think of plywood to make such a box?

Thanks

Hi Oliver:
One fast way to protect your hull: Use a heavy cardboard tube (In this country used for pouring concretepillars) and two endpieces. One fixed , the other the lid. Remember holes for ventilation.
My tube are about 20 cm wide and just fit my slim hull. For a TS2 some sort of barrel should do....

the cardboard tubes used for forming cement columns are called "Sono Tubes" and work well, but even better is PVC culvert pipe. It's corrugated and truly bombproof - a couple of wooden end hatches, some foam rings to suspend the hull inside, and you've got a great case. Since it's cylindrical, very few things can be put on top of it (minimize crush damage) but they tend to roll. I stopped the rolling business by bolting a couple of carrying handles to the outside.
