Titan Winch anyone?

Anyone got any experience of the Titan Tempest winch and in particular how it compares to the RMG? They look very promising on paper.......

Quite an old question and I haven't got a reply to it either.
However, I just bought the new Titan Tornado for my Widget I just bought third-hand.
Without having experience in IOM sailing, I found the concept of a fully watertight winch much more promising than open-gear designs like RMG. Tension and speed are also fully OK and it does not require any more programming than setting the limits by the servo settings at my 2,4 GHz transmitter.
The winch arrived from UK after 2,5 weeks and was installed quickly to the foundation of the former RMG. With high voltage of 11,1V, it hauls 300mm in less than a second. The receiver gets 5V constantly via the winch.
So far I am very happy with the decision - let's see what experience I will make during the first season.
