Suitable Sail Winch for IOM

I am trying to keep my 17 year old IOM club racing and have just blown up the sail winch. I do not want to spend hundreds of pounds on this old boat.
Is the Krick Windforce 1406MG suitable for an IOM?
Anyone have experience of this winch?
