Distance between marks

Post by Frednatal » 03 Feb 2011, 04:27

I would know a reference distance between marks in the races (triangular and trapezoidal) or a medium time to do the races.

Someone can help me?

Hi Alfonso

Might be worth updating the IOMICA manual on a couple of changes following the latest ERS. Some I know about include the change of terminology from 'measurer' to 'equipment inspector', and the fact that the equipment inspector is a person appointed by the Race Committee (not the organising authority).

Another issue is the grey area of the "authority responsible" for interpreting measurement rules. The IOMICA race management manual suggests that this could be the equipment inspector, but that is probably incorrect, the event would probably need a representative, or access to a representative) from the IOMICA Measurment Subcommittee if not the VC Measurement. We already know that ISAF asks for an International Measurer to be a member of an ISAF Class Association Committee...

OK, thank you Lester. I am sure that the members of the ESC will take care of your suggestions.
