New NCAs Approved

Post by Barry Fox CAN262 » 30 Sep 2009, 07:43

The IOM ICA is pleased to welcome two new NCAs to the association.

Formal applications have been received from Belgium (BEL) and Chile (CHI) that meet the requirements for NCA status.

Notice of the applications has been posted on the World Council section of the Forum for comment for the required 4 week period. That period has expired with no objections being given.

Our world of sailing is now expanded by almost 10% with these additions and we should have some nice new places to venture to for a sailing adventure.

Welcome to Belgium and Chile.

Yes, always a good moment when new members come along. In the case of Belgium, it is particularly pleasing as the sailors there are split into two camps, ISAF and NAVIGA. Willy Sablon has done a excellent job for a long time in keeping the ISAF side afloat and when the new IOM association was born I was so very pleased for him and also them. Yes there are some excellent waters in Belgium and no doubt when the fleet has grown a bit maybe the big events will follow. I look forward to it with keen anticipation, as its a great little country that few people know about.
