Fold the head point down to the clew point - the crease is the 1/2 leech. Then take the head point down to the half point - the crease is the 3/4 leach. Then take the clew point up to the half point - the crease is the 1/4 leach. The width measurements are from those leech points to the leading edge...

I'm not quite clear on what you mean Antonio (other than you hope new leaders are elected) in your post. Are you saying that you want to measure sail dimensions to 0.1 mm tolerances? That's pretty thin, certainly thinner than any drafting/plotting pen/pencil. I'm not trying to be argumentative, but ...

Unfortunately there is no emoticon that reflects the "AH HA" moment I had when I finally got what you and Marko are saying. I am occasionally wrong but never in doubt! Sorry for the argument. I just folded up an old IOM A rig mainsail to measure the difference between the ERS multiple fold method of...

I understand the issues concerning the 1/4 1/2 and 3/4 leach measurements. To do it on a real sail, folding is necessary to determine these points. Assuming that the leach is a straight line between the head and clew, this could be done with a ruler. Folding the sail will give the same locations. If...

Quite correct Marko - we simply need to agree on the language to not allow corrector weights to be moved during an event, then issue an emergency rule change that will be in effect until voted on at the 2009 AGM.

Lester - The GBR request is for an interpretation of leech tabling legality, materials, and color. It was sent to Tech and posted on the FTP site. It was discussed in Tech and sent to RSD Alphonso - Not sure who you mean by "we all" nor what you mean by "incomplete". The resolution sent to RSD is th...

I also found the emergency rule change for Spektrum receivers in the files and realized that it had also never been acted upon, so I sent that one along to Jan today.

I am inclined to agree with Marko on both points 1) corrector weights should not be movable for the duration of an event and that an emergency rule change would solidify this for the WC's. There are at least a couple of proposals to change this - once the language is agreed upon I will ask RSD for a...

I am in favor of taking Jan up on his proposal. We really need to get this going in preparation for the WC's.

Additionally, we ought to announce that the 10mm spar resolution did not pass and needs to be re-submitted by ESP is they choose to do so.

It seems to me that the answers don't vary - holes cut to lighten the boom are illegal - holes used for sheet adjustments are. I suggest that if you use the boom keep a close eye on who sees it and be prepared for a challenge. This has been tried in the past and didn't work then either.
