Sail Making Terms

Post by Paul » 18 Mar 2006, 19:25

Could the Sailmakers out there please help me.
I need the definition of the sail terms:

Primary reinforcement
Secondary reinforcement
Flutter Patches
Tabling Width
Cringle

Any help in explaining these in laymans terms would be great
Thanks

You will find your answers in the ERS. I thought there was a link at our homepage, but I was unable to find it quickly.
Here is the link to the ISAF ERS page. The IOM class is using ERS 2001-2004.

This link should be on the same page as our rules.
