i'm sure you'll be peased to knox the course had been changed after this race
first, with a leeward gate, but it was still awfull
and then with a "leeward dogleg", with the two marks easy to see (and observe)




bad courses make bad behaviours...

the way I do :
the upper band is the top of the mast, (head fitting from GB is the upper band
middle band is 1 mm before the max permitted from the top
lower bans is 1 mm before the max permitted from the top
then, I cut the mast so the lower band is beetwin 60 and 100 mm from the deck point ...

this event will take place in Easter, and all wind conditions are expected for the three days...

as it's a french national ranking race, only 30 places over 64 ...

keep relax !
who will want such a boat if there is no advantage on the finishing line ?
remember you can be punched many times from the starting signal to the end of the race...
is this material OK with such living conditions ?
if no, it's not a problem to think about altering the rules...

epoxy is toxic
if you are curious, just have two complete blood analysis, before and after a all week working epoxy...
you'll be surprised, and you'll never work epoxy without a "chemicalproof " mask to stop styren and other rubishes
you do not feel sick, as well as allergy, but you may risk liver ...

i'm not sure it helps to keep the IOM rules as simple as possible
an event measurer will need a chronometer to be sure of the time lap, and I know some IOM totally waterproof, with no drain hole, where you just need a little piece of absorbing paper to achieve the perfect drying of the inside
So ...

if problems with silicin sealent, try white pretroleum, for the same effect, ans easily removable
