who will want such a boat if there is no advantage on the finishing line ?
remember you can be punched many times from the starting signal to the end of the race...
is this material OK with such living conditions ?
if no, it's not a problem to think about altering the rules...

if you are curious, just have two complete blood analysis, before and after a all week working epoxy...

is a waterproof boat out of rating ?
i'm not sure it helps to keep the IOM rules as simple as possible
an event measurer will need a chronometer to be sure of the time lap, and I know some IOM totally waterproof, with no drain hole, where you just need a little piece of absorbing paper to achieve the perfect drying of the inside
