When I had an armwinch with battery connected directly to the receiver, I used a wire connected to the receiver with on the other side a plug such as XT60 to connect my battery on it. As you say, less dangerous for receiver's pins.

As explained by Gordon, places are awarded by country, not by continent, and at IOMICA we had the choice of taking directly a 15th french competitor (who leaves 3 hours driving from Vitoria) or inviting a guest from a country without NCA to promote IOM there.

I am against the motion because it is unnecessary. We should only modify rules where there is a compelling reason. The existing rules provide adequate description. Modifying them only further complicates the rules and ties the hands of future regatta organizers.

Now, imagine that was GOLDEN fleet in SHRS sistem. Just take a look on points difference.

At a 5 or 6 day event I would be in favour of 3 seeding races. With no promotion there would be no hold ups for protests.

Maybe a misunderstanding here, but in RRS as they are, "as a result retiring" can't be a decision of the competitor, for example because he is too far behind. It should be because of a failure, or because of assistance received. If your boat is still able to race you HAVE to continue.
