Lester - Noting your comments regarding the "Race Management Manual" , what is the purpose & intended audience of the manual.
i.e Is it to provide guidelines or mandates ?
Is it for local, regional & International events ?
Does it dictate the type of courses we will sail in IOMs?

Nigel - Don't assume the module is the same across the pistol grip radios and the stick radios. I know on the JR radios it is not, there is a firmware change. sounds like we could do with Horizon publishing a table showing compatibility between modules & Tx ...

I was using a Sanwa Super EXZES in vancouver with a prototype Spektrumrc system, which is a two stick radio, with a third channel on a knob. It worked no problem.

Thanks for digging out the old SI's, this does look like the driver for the scores. I'm sure this will unfold & we'll get all the details over the next couple of days, as it is interesting the pattern of scores

Looking at the results from Arcos, there was 82 entries.
Bamforth shows as getting the following points in the last couple of races:
58 67 83 86 85 83

83 i understand as # of starters +1 which is common.

But # of starters +3 and + 4, what results drove that scoring?

Within my local club there is boat #95, 195 & 295 therefore as we sail most weekends we need to put the 3 digits on to distinguish the boats. It is not practical to apply the third number with tape or remove it weekly. Therefore we allow the boats to sail with all 3 digits.
