True, but hear no evil, see no evil? Umpires don't have to be baby sitters in any sport. Just spot infringments and act in the interests of fairness. Unless sailing is different to, say, cricket.

Good news. Thanks for the info. IMO, removing E4.7, without a subsequent rule change, would be a disaster.

Synonyms for addiction, and potential brand names: bent, craving, dependence, enslavement, fixation, hang-up, hook, inclination, kick, monkey, obsession, shot, sweet tooth, thing.

Am I gonna have to know all this for the Toronto regatta?
