Re: Data transmission from the boat
The other International classes are development classes and do not have restrictions on the number of functions which can be radio controlled nor should they.

Re: Single Panel Molded Sails
Hi John, I agree that may be someone should have proposed a class rule change but he didn't. I any case that is not important now, the important issue is: Do the members of this class want to allow this type of sails or not? The Exec can prepare a proposal of class rule change to forbide this kind ...

Alfonso wrote Hi Ken, Don't worry about ISAF they are already adviced. I have answered all your questions but you are the only one who has not give any explanation. I am still waiting. I do worry and it seems I won't get a straight answer. FYI nominations for the RSD closed on 29 Ausust, I signed an...

Alfonso That IOMICA has made an incorrect statement on the application to ISAF is the issue here and it is clear that you do not want to provide a direct answer to my question. Lester I am aware of the statement you have quoted but again with respect it does not answer the question I ask. To advise ...

Alfonso, with the geatest of respect you have not answered my question. It has nothing to do with RSD nominations and your claim of last minute nominations has nothing to do with IOMICA's application to ISAF. In any case the nominations were submitted in accordance with the notice for the General As...

Aphonso wrote in reply to Tony Edwards Again I feel to disagree. It is true that you were present during the last part of the meeting (let us say the last 5 minutes?), but not when the affiliating to ISAF was discussed. In fact only one person from GBR was present at that moment and you know who it...

Bruce At what cost for your positives? We will reach a point in the future where we will run out of NCA's who are prepared to gamble on conducting a Continental or World championship given the cost of running it to current ISAF requirements. In my opinion IOMICA should be talking to ISAF with the vi...

In the early days of the class, light-weight cloth was difficult to source and clear materials were sometimes given a thin coat of paint to aid visibility. This practice was clearly outside the class rules and was discontinued. The availability of light weight coloured sail cloth is restricted to sp...

When I first measured IOM's circa 1994 - 95 the CR's were around seven pages, there was no fundamental/event divide, we tanked the boats weighed them, securely fastened corrector weights with epoxy or silicon and went sailing. Today we have a CR comprising 24 pages, as measurers we are told we only ...
