AGM IOM ICA 2023 – NOTICE OF MEETING

This note is to remind you that our AGM 10-week cycle started on September 27th.

–

1 – We have received one resolution here attached about championship rules:

Following discussion the exec approved a change to the championship regulations. This now needs to be voted on by the world council.

Championship regulation 8.8.2b currently states:

For Continental Championships, there shall be no restriction on the maximum number
of places for any Continental Member NCA. Places shall be allocated one per
Continental Member NCA to those Member NCAs still wanting them, using the List. If
any Continental Member NCA has requested places after the initial closing date, they
should be added at this stage.

Rule 8.8.2b now reads:
For Continental Championships, there shall be no restriction on the maximum number of
places for any Continental Member NCA. Places shall be allocated one per Continental
Member NCA to those Member NCAs still wanting them, using the List. If any Continental
Member NCA has requested places after the initial closing date, they should be added at
this stage. Except for the European Championship, any non-continental NCA still
requesting places will be added to the list. Maximum entry number for these non-continental
NCAs shall be 9.

2 – Furthermore, being an election year here is how we stand for the positions of executive members:

nominated by ITA, CRO

Technical: Robert Grubiša CRO

nominated by NOR, SWE, DEN, HUN, FRA

nominated by FRA, USA

All incumbents and staying on board as they all received a minimum of two nominations from NCAs.

3 – The position for VC Events, left vacant by Rob Walsh GBR at 2023 year end, is open and to date two candidates have been nominated by a minimum of 2 NCAs each:

Candidatures will be reviewed by the executive committee and you will have to vote between week 8 (when I’ll send you ballots) and not later than week 4 prior to AGM when we’ll close your cast ballots.

4 – Finally and very importantly:

DONT FORGET TO RETURN YOUR NCA REPORT by week 8 prior to AGM ( in two weeks!!!).

Such report is mandatory for remaining an NCA in good standings within IOMICA.
