The majority of the IOMICA Exec together with Events Subcommittee has approved the bid of Croacia for 2012 Iom European Championship. The event will be held on Cres Island from Nov 17th to 24th 2012.

Wednesday, May 9th, 2012Although there is no requirement to give notice earlier than is defined in the Regulations it is best to let everyone know as soon as possible so that any preparation of resolutions, etc. can start as soon as it is practical to do so.
The target that we established last year is to aim for somewhere near the middle of November each year for the actual AGM to take place. It will be, again, completely “electronic” although we may try to make it a bit more interactive if I can find a simple way of doing that.
4.1. Meetings of the World Council shall be held
4.1.1. Either in such physical place and time as the IOM ICA Executive Committee may
consider most convenient to the majority of the members,
4.1.2. Or by electronic communication.
Therefore the target date for the 2012 IOM ICA Annual General Meeting is to be November 18th, 2012. (more…)
2012 IOM European Championship – Bid from Croatia
Tuesday, May 1st, 2012IOMICA ESC has received on April 30th a bid from Croatia (Island of Cres) for 2012 European Championship.
Proposed dates are November 17th – 24th.
ESC is now studying that bid and a decision will come in next few days.

IOM ICA regrets to announce that the 2012 European Continental Championship regatta, scheduled to be held in Malaga, Spain on October 30 to November 4, 2012, has been cancelled.
A number of factors are involved in this decision but the final determining factor has been physical changes to the site that are beyond the control of the host club and that have rendered the site unusable for our purposes.
Much effort by the NCA for ESP and the Host Club, Real Club Mediterráneo de Málaga (RCM), has gone into attempting to find an alternate location but to no avail.
The IOM ICA Events Sub Committee wishes to thank ESP for stepping forward to host this event.
The Events Sub Committee will accept proposal for alternate hosts for this event but, given the short time left in the year to organize such an event, those interested must be in contact with the Committee before the end of April.

IOMICA Exec and IOMICA ESC have awarded IOM World Championship to Israel.Organizing club will be Sdot Yam sailing club.
A date has to be confirmed in October 2013.
